It has been a little more than a year since our school joined the Global Step Academy group. After a year of monitoring and adjustment, we are ready to make one step forward towards unity among all schools and lay the foundations to grow stronger together.

From April 2019 all preschools and kindergartens in the group will unite under the Global Step Academy flag, and we will change our name from Central Forest International School to Global Step Academy International School Chuo Rinkan (GSAIS Chuo Rinkan).

Over the last few years, the International Primary Curriculum has been evolving as well. When we adopted it back in 2011, the IPC encompassed both the Early Years and Elementary stage. Now the program has developed into two separate, dedicated curriculums, with the IPC concentrating on the Elementary stage and the creation of the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) to specifically cater to the preschool and kindergarten’s educational needs. Consequently, together with the beginning of the new school year we will be adopting the IEYC as our guide.

Lastly, from April we will be introducing the Jolly Phonics method into our Preschool and K3 phonics classes.

We are grateful for the support you have been giving our school so far, and we hope you will continue supporting us as we grow and evolve in the years to come.

2017年9月グローバルステップアカデミー (GSA) グループに加入してから、すでに一年経ちました。 それぞれ小規模の学校でしたが、一年をかけてグループとして発展していくような基盤を築き上げ、新年度から新たな一歩を踏み出すことになりました。

2019年4月からGSA傘下のプリスクール・幼稚園とともに当園セントラルフォレストインターナショナルスクールも グローバルステップアカデミーインターナショナルスクール中央林間校（GSAIS中央林間）に名前を変更いたします。

2011年導入してからIPC（International Primary Curriculum・国際初等カリキュラム）も進化いたしました。導入時にはIPCが幼稚園・小学校ともに対象のカリキュラムでしたが、今はIPCが小学校教育に特化し、 幼稚園教育専用のInternational Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) として独立しました。そのため、2019年度から当園もIEYCを導入して授業をしてまいります。

最後に、2019年度から各校のプリスクール・K3 クラスのLanguage Arts（英語）の授業に子どもを楽しませながらわかりやすくフォニックスが習得できるJolly Phonicsを取り入れてまいります。

園名は変更いたしますが、今までどおり子どもたちのために心がけてまいりますので、これからも温かいご支援をいただけますようよろしくお願い申し上げます。
